Omar Hasan is an artist with many lives. Originally from Argentina, he first made a name for himself on fields the world over as a right pillar of the national XV rugby team, the Pumaswith a total of 64 international international caps and a historic historic third-place finish at the 2007 World Cup. He was crowned European champion in 2005 and French champion in 2008 with Stade Toulousain, where he ended an exceptional sporting career, while already beginning his artistic reconversion.
Based in Toulouse since 2004Omar Hasan then gave a new direction to his energy and stage presence: the musical stage. Gifted with a warm, expressive and physical baritone tonehe explores a wide range of repertoires: opera, tango, South American popular song, contemporary classical musictheater and music.
As a singer and actor, he has played such iconic roles as Cornus in King Arthur by Purcell, Ajax in La Belle Hélène by Offenbach, the three incarnations of the Devil in The Tales of Hoffmannor Zuniga in Carmen Al Andalus. He also creates singular recitals where the argentine tango dialogue with poetic and dramatic languagepaying homage to his roots and inner journeys.
