Alberto Vingiano

Electric bass

Alberto

Alberto Vingiano is a Franco-Italian electric bassist whose musical career embodies both academic rigor and creative freedom. Trained at the conservatory, he studied electric bass as well as harmony, arranging and improvisation, while drawing on a broad spectrum of influences: jazz fusion, funk, progressive rock, Latin music, film scores… This stylistic richness fuels an expressive, nuanced style characterized by technical mastery, a keen sense of rhythm and generous musicality.

From his earliest stage experiences, Alberto distinguished himself by his ability to adapt to a wide variety of formations, from jazz and world music to chanson and experimental pop. He collaborates extensively with international musicians and ensembles, notably in France, Italy, Spain and Belgium. Whether in the studio or on stage, he imposes a discreet but essential presence, providing a solid, inventive rhythmic foundation that gives body to the ensemble.

With his precise touch and lilting phrasing, he alternates deep grooves, elegant melodic lines and daring improvisations. His sound palette, enriched by the use of effects pedals, subtle slaps and more traditional techniques, testifies to a certain taste for sonic exploration. He is also one of those instrumentalists who consider the bass not simply as a rhythmic accompaniment, but as a musical voice in its own right.

Alongside his activities as a performer, Alberto Vingiano is a recognized teacher. He teaches electric bass in various associations and music schools, where he transmits not only instrumental technique, but also a lively, contemporary vision of music. He regularly leads masterclasses on improvisation, groove and the role of the bass in contemporary music, always with an accessible and sympathetic approach.

An all-round musician, curious about all art forms, Alberto is also involved in transdisciplinary projects, mixing music, theater, dance and visual arts. He sees the stage as a space for exchange and listening, where spontaneity and precision are in constant dialogue.

Today, he pursues a career at the crossroads of styles and encounters, faithful to a demand for accuracy and invention. His electric bass is much more than an instrument: it’s a voice at the service of collective emotion, a sound architecture in perpetual motion.
